The showing offers a glimpse behind the scenes, into the engine room of our creative work. You are invited into our rehearsal space, where we share what we are currently working on. In Vilma’s words: “This is where the crazy stuff happens!”
Afterwards, we invite you to share your impressions with us: what you saw and experienced, what convinced you, and what did not. For us, this feedback moment is an important part of developing a new piece.
The starting point of our latest production is a private interview with Sebastian’s grandmother, who passed away in 2015. Her one-hundred-year life story inspires a highly atmospheric, focused stage work for a small cast. The piece explores the strength of grandmothers, the idea of home in transition, and the pace of the world. A special feature is the cinematic stage design developed for us by Frank Fellmann.
Ella will premiere on March 7 at the Kurt Weill Festival in Dessau. Performances in Leipzig will follow from April 9 to 12 at LOFFT – DAS THEATER.
